Forrester report predicts new “age of the customer” era

In a bid to keep up to speed with current market demands, companies are increasingly turning to agile technologies to reduce coding and cut down on implementation times.

A new report by Forrester – Predictions 2015 – indicates that the “age of the customer” – an era where customers are empowered by constant connectivity and on-demand information – is set to disrupt the Business Process Management market.

The report states that “low-code platforms, new engagement architectures and cloud-based work orchestration” are replacing BPM suites, which simply are not agile enough to streamline business operations and improve processes that “directly or indirectly touch customers or shape customer experience.”
